Children’s Movement and Creation

JoAnna Conte and Elle

This class is founded on the belief in the healing power of free expression through creating art together. Class begins with a half hour of stretching and movement. We will learn dance moves every week in preparation for our performance. The exposure to different styles of movement inspire the children to further explore dance study as well as teaching them synchronicity and teamwork. The last half hour we will be working on art expressions and preparing pieces for our gallery opening! This is a 6 week course. The last class we ask parents to join us to enjoy a dance performance and gallery show.

“For the love of art” - JoAnna

“Movement guided by music is an awesome instrument to encourage creative development.” -Elle

Yoga and Pilates

Rachel

Yoga Fundamentals

Rachel Fredell

In this gentle Hatha-Vinyasa flow class we move through warm up, vinyasa sequence and cool down with awareness and intention. Proper alignment is emphasized and questions are encouraged. We explore the fullness of our breath along with the yoga postures as a form of moving meditation. Yogic principles are the foundation upon which we develop a safe practice; where we build deep core strength protecting the joints and stabilizing the spine.

“The nature of yoga is to sing the light of awareness into the darkest corners of the body.” -Jason Crandall
